Astro Gator Number 28
Dated 4/29/03. I cannot really say why I decided to make this a tribute to surrealist art. I must have thought it would be funny to find such things in the memory of an assassin robot. It was fun to recreate those familiar images.
I did use a model for the baby gator face in the third panel, but I did not trace; all of those lines were drawn freehand. Everything in this strip is freehand except for the straight lines.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but for posterity’s sake, I will point out that The “A” and “G” in Astro Gator are always bolded in the comic strips. I cannot remember why I decided to do that.
