Dated 6/20/03. We are wrapping up the strange case of Astro Gecko’s abduction and Astro Gator’s mysterious coma. I like the idea behind the first panel, but it’s not entirely legible, so my execution could have been better. I always wanted to try to have at least one panel with an interesting and unique layout even though it took more time. I really was striving to make the comic strip visually interesting.

The perspective in the second panel does not work very well. One of the other ways I tried to make Astro Gator visually interesting is to show different perspectives from above and below. You can see that in Number 7, Number 24, and Number 36. I have never mastered drawing in perspective, and any drawing where the perspective turns out right is a minor miracle.
