Dated 8/26/03. We have a terrible mishap in today’s issue, and regular readers will remember that Astro Gecko was previously believed to be dead. I cannot really say why I returned to that idea. Maybe I had a personal reason.
Some tv shows constantly put a particular character in jeopardy, usually a “damsel in distress.” Dana Scully in X-Files, Deanna Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Maybe Astro Gecko is the series’s damsel in distress.
