Romeo and Juuliet’s Big Teen Suicide
It’s gonna be killer.
Romeo and Juuliet are the most popular couple at Surf Shores High School, and they have been planning their double suicide since the beginning of their sophomore year. They’ve set a date (Easter), selected a venue (the trampoline park where they met), sent out invitations, picked out fashionable outfits, and procured the poison. They’re all set.
Events keep conspiring to ruin their big day. A month before their appointment with death, Hermia and Lysander try to steal their thunder by accomplishing their own double suicide on the March equinox. Romeo and Juuliet decide to carry on despite the damage to their pride.
Romeo loses the poison, which he had to have specially ordered, and he has to scramble at the last minute to get more. He manages to find a vendor, but the special silver vial they were using to contain the original poison is lost forever. They replace their nice vial with a tasteful salad dressing cruet.
The audience learns later that Romeo’s mother thought it would be nice to have the vial engraved with their names, but there was a mixup at the jeweler’s store. The engraver spelled Juuliet with only one “u,” and the vial was ruined. Romeo’s mother didn’t have the courage to tell him, so she let him believe it was lost.
