Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear about the instability at your school. We started planning to leave a few years ago. I started investing every spare dollar; my wife learned a new trade, coding, and got a good job doing that last year. I wish I had advice for you, but everyone's situation is so different, it's hard to know what to say. I can say that there are a few Facebook groups for people who are thinking about leaving higher education. Academics Say Goodbye is one, and the Higher Ed Learning Collective might help. It was tough deciding to leave, but I've been unhappy for a long time, and I feel a lot better now. I don't yet regret leaving. I just wish I could have banked another year or two of income. I hope your school does its best to do right by you. Mine seemed happy to see me go. Good luck!
